2008 AHS Alumni Golf Outing (current year)

Will be held on Saturday July 5, 2008

The AHS Golf Outing for 2008 is open to all AHS alumni, teachers, and guests, and will take place on Saturday July 5, 2008. This is back to the more traditional day that we have had it in the past. We hope that more AHS Alums can participate since this event is near the Holiday.

• Location: Veenker Golf Course, Ames IA
• Date: Saturday July 5, 2008
• Time: 8am shotgun start ~ Registration from 7:00 – 7:45am
• Format: 4 person best shot
• Cost: $50 per person or $22 for Veenker season pass holders. Includes prizes, green fees, cart, and lunch.

Special note: After 6 years, last year was my last year volunteering to run and promote the AHSAA golf event. The AHSAA and I would love to have someone step up and volunteer to take on this great tradition. The 2008 event is already planned and most of the work is done, and yes, for sure, it will take place (thank you Tess!), but we would like to have an Alumnus spokesperson to represent the Alumni. The 2003 AHS All Alumni golf outing was a tremendous success. We had great weather and 78 golfers took part in what was a thoroughly enjoyable day. We would like to thank all our sponsors for the door prizes that they donated. With out them this event would not be possible

We are proud to announce the revival of the annual Ames high alumni golf outing. The event will be open to all alumni, teachers, and guests, and will take place on July 5, 2003.

There have been some changes made from the past, starting with a shotgun start. We currently are committed to Veenker GC for 72 golfers, or 15 foursomes. The format as in the past will be a 4-person best shot. We will take registrations either as teams, or individuals. Please contact Veenker Golf Course Directly (see contact information below). Veenker will take registration by phone, mail, or email. The cost of this event will be $45.00. This will include green fees, cart, and prizes for all levels of play.
